Mission Statement
The Canadian Obstetrics and Gynecology Review Program is a physician organization that is deeply committed to offering educational programs. We provide the knowledge and skills necessary to enhance women's health care by educating future Obstetricians and Gynecologists, who ultimately provide the highest quality of patient care to the community at large.
Program Objectives
The content of this program is based upon the specific needs of graduating residents. The format of this program will include interactive presentations with an opportunity for immediate feedback through touch pad technology. Multiple choice Q&A's are incorporated into each presentation as well as a formal pathology slide review. Residents will also have an opportunity to participate in a Clinical Communication Scenario (OSCE) exercise. A minimum of five stations of different cases will be offered in both French and English.
This program is precedent setting in Canada. No other program of such caliber exists and no other exam preparatory program has the support of the university training centres throughout Canada. Faculty has been chosen from educational institutions across the country and is based on the recommendations, requests and specific needs of the residents.
The program objectives are to:
- Provide residents with a review of topics based on the content specifications issued by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada;
- Provide an opportunity to consolidate knowledge on topics not fully covered within the current curriculum in order to enhance the function of a practicing consultant; and
- Provide current information on diagnosis and management of problems encountered in daily practice.
