This session will introduce International Medical Graduates, who are not enrolled in a Canadian training program, to the structure format for Multiple Choice questions and the Clinical Communication Scenarios Examination (OSCE). We will be reviewing the three SOGC guidelines and as such, ask that you come prepared to discuss these three guidelines prior to the session taking place.

Note: This session has been designed for IMGs that have had no previous experience and have not seen or participated in an OSCE station. It is an introduction to OSCEs only and will not include individual practice.

Best practices for zoom meetings:

  • Join from a desktop/laptop computer – do not use a mobile device or iPad.
  • Ideally situate yourself in a quiet room without a window behind you to avoid any glare from the sun.
  • Please turn off any sound notifications on your device (Outlook chimes, chat announcements, etc.).
  • Test your camera and microphone in advance. If you have a preferred headset or earphones, please do use them.
  • Please feel free to use the attached zoom background.
